high school students may now take their Chromebooks home as part of Sumner
School District’s new Chromebook Take-Home Program.
While all students in every grade
use Chromebooks during class time to access the Internet, digital
materials and digital textbooks, secondary students now have the opportunity to
continue learning with their digital device while at home.
The Chromebook Take-Home Program is
a new enhancement of the district’s 1:1 Initiative, which provides
and teachers access to digital resources for learning and teaching. Read more
about the 1:1 Initiative.
Schools will distribute Chromebooks
to students during the first two weeks of school. While students take
responsibility over the care for their Chromebook, parents also have a role in
this program. Watch a short video to
learn more about the program and guidelines for how to help your child take
care of their Chromebook.
